THE
SHERLOCK HOLMES CRIME HUNT

It is 1898 and a terrible crime
has shocked London.
The Blue Carbuncle, that precious jewel of almost mythical
status has been stolen from The Countess of Morcar. Intelligence reports suggest
that it is about to be smuggled out of the country and you have just 3 hours to
prevent this national treasure from been lost forever. Thus begins the Sherlock
Holmes Crime Hunt and a fascinating adventure awaits you on the streets of the
Victorian Metropolis.
Holmes himself is already on the
case and has gone in disguise into the hinterland of criminal London. But word
is that he has been kidnapped by the perpetrators of the heinous act and is
being held at a secret location, the address of which is given mysteriously as
"somewhere in London." In the absence of the great detective his faithful
sidekick, Dr John H. Watson, will meet with you to brief you on the task that lies

The briefing over you set off in
search of Sherlock Holmes and the Blue Carbuncle. The game's afoot as you
criss-cross London following a set of clues that will take you to some very
strange places indeed. You will descend into the twilight world of a Victorian
ghetto in search of the mysterious flower seller who holds vital information.
Your powers of deduction will be stretched to the limits as
you attempt to find the underworld figure (the so called "Man in the Red Socks")
from whom you can purchase "something to your advantage." And finally you must
seek out the grizzled old newspaper seller who has announced the headlines for
nigh on forty years and who keeps a devilish secret locked away in his
subconscious. But beware, for there are those who have a vested interest in
preventing you from reaching your goal. They will stop at nothing to send you
off on a wild goose chase and sabotage your efforts. So trust no-one no matter
how innocuous they might seem.
In addition to following the
clues you will be given a series of challenges to perform with your instant
camera. For example you must have your photograph taken alongside the Prime
Minister in 1888 and waving to that lady of legendary status Miss Florence
Nightingale. You must also get snaps of several "suspects" as they go about
their nefarious and unsavoury business!
Hopefully though you will take
inspiration from Sherlock Holmes and follow the clues with such ruthless
efficiency that you will soon arrive at the place where Holmes and the Blue
Carbuncle are being held. But will you be able to retrieve them safely? No
there's a question!!!
